MPM Melt-blown/Pulp Multi-layer Nonwoven: Six-Layer Core Technology, Naturally Soft
From the ultimate gentleness of baby wipes and the challenge of heavy kitchen oil contamination, to the cooling sensation of icy wipes and the
instant absorption of absorbent cores in sanitary napkins and adult care
products—Dalian Ruiguang breaks traditional boundaries with precision dry-laid technology. MPM (Melt-blown/Pulp Multi-layer) composite nonwoven combines the silky-smooth barrier of melt-blown ultra-fine fibers with the powerful absorbency of natural pulp, offering premium personal care and household cleaning brands a new-generation core material solution that delivers ultra-soft touch, superior liquid lock-in, and a green DNA.
Application Fields
Baby Wipes

Softer than pure cotton, gentle care you can trust
MPM features melt-blown ultra-fine fibers as the top and bottom surface layers, with fiber fineness far below that of conventional spunlace fabrics, delivering a velvety, near-zero-friction touch that tenderly protects babies' sensitive skin. The dual-layer core in the middle, a blend of pulp and ultra-fine fibers, achieves an absorbency of over 7 times its own weight. Combined with thermal bonding—a latex-free process— MPM ensures low linting and low allergenicity during wiping, and complies with GB 15979, China's Hygienic Standard for Disposable Sanitary Products, making it the ideal substrate for premium baby wipes.
Kitchen Wipes
Thick, strong, and built for oil and grime
Compared with conventional spunlace fabrics, MPM is over 20% thicker, offering a full, robust hand feel that resists tearing when wiping heavy kitchen grease.
The melt-blown layer—core technology born for oil absorption: The melt-blown layer is made of ultra-fine PP fibers with inherent oil-affinity, absorbing oil on contact. Its three-dimensional pore structure, formed by ultra-fine fibers, rapidly captures and locks in oil droplets through capillary action—once absorbed, grease stays locked in with no rewet and no dripping.
Natural pulp fibers absorb both oil and water, working in synergy with the melt-blown layer to channel liquids. With an absorbency of up to 7 times its own weight, one sheet is enough to clean heavy grease from stovetops and range hoods, making
kitchen cleaning effortless.
Thermal bonding physically locks the fibers in place, ensuring low linting even when wet—no fiber residue is left on dishes or countertops.
Cooling Wipes

Long-lasting coolness, gentle on skin
Cooling wipes demand extremely high liquid retention and skin comfort from their substrate. MPM's dual-layer pulp core acts like a miniature reservoir, securely holding cooling agents and moisturizing liquids to release lasting freshness. The ultra-fine fiber surface is smooth and delicate, conforming to skin curves without any scraping sensation. The material is overall fluffy and soft, remaining breathable and comfortable even during prolonged application—making it the core substrate for sports cooling, outdoor heat relief, and after-sun care wipes.
Absorbent Cores (Baby Diapers / Sanitary Napkins / Adult Care)
Powerful absorption, cloud-soft core
As an absorbent core or acquisition layer for baby diapers, sanitary napkins, and adult care products, MPM builds a three-dimensional, fluffy pulp network that enables lighter and thinner core designs at the same absorbency—an absorption capacity of
≥7 times its own weight, rapid liquid penetration, and low rewet, all while adding virtually no extra weight or thickness.
Say goodbye to the pain point of traditional cores: "the more they absorb, the bulkier they become." MPM's fluffy fiber structure stays slim and close-fitting before absorbing, then expands evenly and disperses after absorption—keeping the product light, thin, and flat, with no sagging or bulkiness when worn, as soft and weightless as a cloud.
Thermal bonding keeps the core structurally stable even after repeated absorption and swelling, effectively reducing cracking and clumping—thin with peace of mind, light for the long haul, comprehensively improving the wearing comfort of end products.
Core Technology
Precision dry-laid composite,6-layer synergy
Dalian Ruiguang's MPM is produced with a one-step dry-forming process that creatively combines melt-blown spinning with pulp defibration:
Top & bottom protective layers: Melt-blown ultra-fine fibers form a delicate, soft surface barrier that reduces friction against the skin.
Core layer in the middle: Dual-layer blend of ultra-fine fibers and pulp builds a highly fluffy, high-retention absorbent and liquid-locking structure.
Thermal bonding: No chemical adhesives are added throughout the process. Physical fiber locking is achieved through precision thermal calendering and patterned embossing, making the material softer, more skin-friendly, and more eco-friendly.
Adjustable strength: By precisely controlling the ratio of melt-blown fibers to pulp fibers, the MD/CD strength of the material can be flexibly customized to perfectly match the tension requirements of downstream high-speed production lines.
Green & Eco-friendly
From forest to soil—a full life cycle green commitment
Renewable raw materials: 70% of the product's raw materials come from natural pulp, all certified by FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council), ensuring every gram of fiber originates from responsibly managed sustainable forests—freeing your products from reliance on petroleum-based plastics.
Fully biodegradable: The natural pulp component is fully biodegradable under specific conditions, returning to the soil. When combined with PLA (polylactic acid)
fibers, the material achieves 100% biodegradability, eliminating microplastic pollution altogether.
Clean production: The calendaring bonding process involves no chemical adhesives, with low energy consumption and low emissions throughout production, in compliance with the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
Regulatory foresight: Amid global "plastic restriction" policies and the carbon neutrality trend, MPM helps brand customers get ahead in building green supply chains, easily meeting increasingly stringent environmental regulations and trade barriers in the EU, the US, and China.
High-Efficiency Production Capacity

3.2-meter ultra-wide formation—industry-leading capacity and efficiency
The Ruiguang MPM production line reaches a width of 3.2 meters, far exceeding the industry norm of 1.8 meters, delivering tangible competitive advantages:
Advanced technology imported from Japan, featuring Kasen Nozzle dies with international-quality core components and a mature, well-established domestic supply chain;
Higher capacity: Larger single-pass forming width delivers superior output per unit time and better energy efficiency per unit, with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons; Stable process: Layer-by-layer quality control throughout, including metal detection, defect detection, and basis weight inspection;
Greater efficiency: Wide-width one-step forming and wide-width slitting reduce splicing and waste, cutting costs and boosting efficiency;
More reliable delivery: Strong large-scale supply capability ensures faster delivery of large orders with more consistent quality;
Broader adaptability: Flexible slitting to precisely match downstream products of different specifications.
